MYOB engaged us to create a suite of 5 new videos which represent the organisation’s core values. They needed to be delivered in such a way that MYOB came across with more life and lightness, approachability, down-to-earth responses; aligned with the personality of a start-up.

The videos would be used as a tool to attract talent by enlightening and exciting people as to what MYOB stands for. Throughout the process, it was important to be mindful that viewers got a good ‘feel’ for the brand after watching these videos.

Using recorded interviews with some of their staff, the idea was to sync up MYOB’s character animation with the audio. Each person reflects on what that core value means to them and the character articulates that through a short narrative. The lip-syncing and facial expressions were really important to refine in each vox-pop. That way the messages were clear and the faces on screen more relatable with a sense of charm. By the end of each story, the protagonist has solved their problem based on the value that resonated with them.
